Kiss makes a stunning comeback with wins in both races

12. June 2022Hungaroring - Norbert Kiss and his Révész team pulled off the unthinkable at the Hungaroring Sunday, winning both races with a truck they’d rebuilt overnight – from the ground up (or, from the roof down, whatever).
The home hero was even more dominant in qualifying and the Super Pole than the day before, going over half a second faster on his first flying lap than he did on his pole-winning lap Saturday, and establishing an even more astounding gap to the P2 starter (Adam Lacko today).
Norbi went on to streak to victory in Race 3, almost 10 seconds ahead of Lacko, with Jochen Hahn in P3. Sascha Lenz, Jamie Anderson, André Kursim, Steffi Halm, Téo Calvet, Shane Brereton, and Antonio Albacete rounded out the top 10.
In the final race, polesitter Téo Calvet put up a flawless defence against Hahn and Kiss for eight long laps before a broken brake rotor brought the young Frenchman to grief.
Kiss took the win ahead of Hahn and Lacko. Lenz, Halm, Anderson, Anthony Janiec, Albacete, Kursim, and Brereton also finished in the points.
