Team Hahn Racing - Back to the Roots

24. January 2016Team Hahn Racing celebrates the 20th anniversary of its founding, an occasion for most to wallow in nostalgia. But this isn’t why Hahn’s race truck for 2016 looks almost like the one his team raced 10 years ago. Its contract with primary sponsor Castrol having now ended, the green-and-white livery that has distinguished the truck for the last four years has been replaced with the blue and white of long-time team backer Knorr-Bremse, which has in recent years been intensively engaged in the sport.
The team returns to its roots in a sense, but only as concerns its racing colours — not its choice of manufacturer. There’s been no end of amusement in Altensteig at the speculation on Facebook that Jochen Hahn will be racing a truck from another manufacturer this season. What sparked off this debate was actually sightings of a truck that Jochen and his team have race-prepared for a customer from Finland.
