Norbert Kiss and José Eduardo Rodrigues win Sunday’s races in Most
01. September 2024Most - As he did on Saturday, reigning champ Norbert Kiss won the first race of the day Sunday at Autodrom Most. But in contrast to the day before, the Hungarian was tailed all the way to the flag by Jochen Hahn, a remarkable step-up in performance by the six-times champion.
Third place went to Sascha Lenz once again, after a duel with his rival Antonio Albacete that lasted till mid-race.
Proceedings in the second race of the day, and final race of the weekend, were as turbulent as they can get. Polesitter Steffi Halm dropped back following a collision in the first chicane that heaved her Iveco off the track for a short distance.
When the field had sorted itself out after a handful of laps, José Eduardo Rodrigues found himself in a comfortable lead, going on to win ahead of Kiss. Hahn crossed the line in P3, but a penalty retroactively applied promoted a rising Mark Taylor to the position.
