27. August 2024When the teams in the European championship go to Most in the Czech Republic at the end of August, they are usually headed into the second half of the season. This year, however, only three rounds remain on the calendar and so action at Autodrom Most this weekend will be more heated than usual.
Norbert Kiss has a comfortable lead in the championship, but with Jochen Hahn in second place and 180 points up for grabs, the title is far from decided. And there’s a barely significant difference in the standings between Sascha Lenz and Antonio Albacete for P3.
The Chrome championship is no less fascinatingly poised, with José Eduardo Rodrigues leading from tankpool24 pilot Steffen Faas and Mark Taylor.
The first highlight of the weekend will take place on Thursday with the race truck parade into the centre of town, where the fans can get up close and personal.
The racers will take to the track on Friday. It’s peak summer here, and the forecast for Saturday and Sunday promises perfect weather for racing.
