Saturday in Zolder - Norbert Kiss wins both races

23. June 2024Zolder - Reigning champion Norbert Kiss continued his complete dominance of the European Truck Racing Championship with wins in both races at Circuit Zolder on Saturday.
Starting the day’s first race from pole position, the Hungarian ace led all the way to the flag, followed by Antonio Albacete and Jochen Hahn. The Chrome winner was José Eduardo Rodrigues ahead of Steffen Faas and Lukas Hahn.
Race 2 had Lukas Hahn and tankpool24 pilot Steffen Faas on the front row. While Lukas drove a steady race to finish third behind Norbi and Jochen, Faas lost all hopes of a podium after his truck developed a gearbox problem.
Lukas Hahn topped the Chrome podium, on which he was joined by José Eduardo Rodrigues and Mark Taylor.
The unlucky person of the day was Sascha Lenz, forced to return to pit lane from the formation lap with a fuel system defect on the engine of his MAN. Starting the second race from the rear of the field, he fought his way up to P6, making up some of the points he’d lost in the standings.
