Kiss and Albacete win on Sunday

25. June 2023Poznan - MAN pilots and teammates Norbert Kiss and Antonio Albacete won Sunday’s races at the FIA European Truck Racing Championship’s première in Poznań.

The race was red-flagged immediately, and the Madrilène matador was, after rapid repair to the front fascia of his truck, able to restart from pit lane at the rear of the field, from where he fought his way up to P7 by the end of the race.
Kiss was followed onto the podium by Jochen Hahn and Sascha Lenz. André Kursim, Steffi Halm, Lukas Hahn, Albacete, Mark Taylor, Jamie Anderson, and José Eduardo Rodrigues finished next in points-scoring order.
Starting from P2 on the reversed grid, Albacete outran Taylor to seize the lead of Race 4, a lead he held till the flag. Behind him Lukas Hahn, Lenz, and Kiss fought an exciting battle for the two remaining podium places. These eventually went to Lenz and Kiss in that order. They were followed across the line by Lukas Hahn, Halm, Taylor, Anderson, Kursim, Jochen Hahn, and Rodrigues.
