Friday at the Slovakia Ring

09. June 2023Slovakia Ring - This season the race weekend at the Slovakia Ring is, once again, a classical three-day event with taxi rides for VIPs and pressfolk, the two free practice sessions, and the supplementary half-hour of free practice, all scheduled for Friday.
Following a heavy spell of rain overnight, the racers’ first tentative laps were on a very wet circuit. But as the track dried out they went faster and faster. Norbert Kiss topped the timesheets, with Antonio Albacete next-quickest ahead of Sascha Lenz. Championship leader Jochen Hahn and teammate Steffi Halm were only a sliver slower than this trio.
The pace will pick up in earnest in qualifying tomorrow.
