10. September 2021Zolder - The teams had an altogether relaxed Friday at Circuit Zolder, having set up their tent garages and finished all the preliminaries the day before. An easy calm pervaded the paddock, and even a heavy downpour at around 13:00 hrs failed to perturb anyone.
FP1 began at 14:10 on a wet track, and it drizzled all through the 30 minutes. Trucks occasionally took to the gravel at various locations around the circuit.
Norbert Kiss in the MAN clocked 2:05.700 to top the timesheet once again, above Antonio Albacete, Steffen Faas, Jochen Hahn, and Sascha Lenz.
FP2 an hour later was run on an almost completely dry track. Kiss improved his earlier time by more than 8 seconds, lapping in 1:57.251. Hahn was second-fastest this time, with Lenz, Albacete, and Adam Lacko following after.
