Truck Grand Prix 2021 will be a hybrid event

30. March 2021ADAC Mittelrhein, organiser of the Truck Grand Prix, announced today that the climactic round of the truck racing season will go ahead in any event over the weekend of July 16 through 18.
“… We are designing a unified concept that brings together the best of both worlds – physical and digital. We are working against the clock to deliver a superlative experience, both at the circuit and to fans in their homes,” ADAC Mittelrhein’s sports director Axel Friedhoff was quoted saying in the official release.
As always, the races of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship will be at the centre of it all – but there’ll be no paddock access, no country festival at the Müllenbachschleife, and no trucker camp. A limited number of spectators will be allowed pending official approval, but their movements at the Nürburgring will be regulated by the COVID restrictions prevailing in Rhineland-Palatinate at the time.
