Saturday in Le Mans Part 2 – The race, though, goes to Albacete

10. October 2015Le Mans - At the start everything pointed to a Kiss-and-Hahn affair; at the finish the spectators had witnessed an extraordinary twist in the tale. After only one lap the two MAN pilots were far ahead in the distance, with Hahn in the lead.
The German had overtaken polesitter Kiss in the chicane.
In the process, however, Hahn seems to have cut corners, inviting a drive-through penalty a little later and exiting the pits in 5th behind Vršecký. Now Kiss in the lead was a solitary MAN, but even he presently was called in for a drive-through penalty for skipping the chicane at the start.
The Hungarian managed to blend back in behind Albacete and Lacko but ahead of Vršecký. And so they crossed the line at the finish.
Janiec came in sixth behind Hahn, followed by Reinert and Halm, who gets the privilege of starting the second race in pole.
Körber and Lohr were 9th and 10th.
Buggyra (Vršecký / Lacko) was once again the top team, followed by Truck Sport Bernau-Albacete (Albacete / Lohr) and Oxxo-Lion (Kiss / Janiec).
