Race Trucks Arrived In Istanbul

10. May 2012As everyone knows, the trip to Istanbul is one of the more or less flamboyant endeavors of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. All transportation and escort vehicles were to arrive in the port of Trieste on sunday morning. The drivers of the trucks were then brought to Ljubljana, where they took the plane to Istanbul. The carrier who was transporting the trucks was supposed to be in the port of Pendik (about half an hour drive away from Istanbul Park) this Thursday morning at around 10.
However, there were severe delays and the first trucks did not arrive in the paddock until around nine in the evening. The teams already knew at that point that this was going to be a long night, because they still had to put up all the tents and all the other equipment that was needed.
And tomorrow morning at 8am there will be the scruteneering.
