FIA Gala with Albacete and Kress

23. December 2010Every year in December the motorsports elite assembles in Monaco for the prize giving gala. The new champion Antonio Albacete (ESP) and Mario Kress (GER) – who won the team championship with his MKR Technology Team (CZE) – represented the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. As an eye catcher the red championship MAN RaceTruck of Truck Sport Bernau was placed in front of the Monte Carlo Casino where the festivities took place.
CEPSA’s logistic manager, Gabriel Madrid, took advantage of the opportunity to capture everything on camera, and of course also his encounter with Fernando Alonso. Kress, however, was evidently keener on exchanging a few words with Sebastian Vettel. Could it be that he had already made him an offer to have a try at driving a MKR RaceTruck for a change? After all, both the Red Bull Formula One racer as well as the MKR RaceTruck are powered by a Renault engine. In the truck Vettel would have several hundred additional HP at his disposal – but on the other hand the truck weighs almost 5 tons more than the F1 racer.
