Sponsor Partners at the Ring

August 2009Three of the sponsor partners of „truckracing.de / truckrace.info“ – MAN Trucker’s World, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge and DKV – were again presenting themselves at the Ring to their club members and guests and provided an impressive display of how to utilize such an event to increase customer loyalty. Apparently it’s going to become a tradition that the Danish branch of the MAN Trucker’s World Club attends the TGP. 50 out of the 887 members undertook the journey to the Eifel circuit. On a camping site at the Ring they erected a castle out of small igloo tents. In the centre was, of course, the baggage tent and the food supply station. But anyway, there was no risk that the guest from Denmark would die of starvation or thirst, because – same as the other club members and MAN guests – they were provided with food and drinks in the big MAN hospitality unit.
By the way, the next destination on the agenda of the Danes is the Munich Beer Festival, where they will not have to worry about going hungry or thirsty, either. And also in the DKV hospitality unit there was plenty of everything for the guest. The only difficulty was to get hold of a seat, because many a visitor stayed longer than intended. After all, just as the neighbouring MAN marquee, the balcony of the DKV unit granted an impressive view of the NGK chicane. Moreover, there was a chance of winning several prizes, e.g. helicopter sightseeing flights or even a journey to the final round of the European Truck Racing Championship in Jarama.
