Truck Grand Prix with Video Live Streaming

Truck Grand Prix with Video Live Streaming

11. July 2009Last year it was the first time that bartscher.net provided a video live streaming of the Truck Grand Prix TV of the ADAC Mittelrhein on the internet, which is identical with what the spectators at the circuit can watch on the giant screens. This was a big success and the feedback was extremely positive. So it was practically beyond debate that this year there would be a live streaming, too. But, as everyone knows, as a consequence of the financial and economic crisis the financial resources were running extremely short, and priorities had to be reallocated. And there weren’t sufficient means available for the video live streaming. This information brought Lutz Bernau on the scene.
The multiple European truck racing champion – and by now also the longest-serving manager in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship – started a concerted action which is unprecedented in the history of truck racing, and he succeeded in bringing together manufacturers, pilots and teams from many different countries, and they raised the necessary funds. The ADAC agreed to provide the necessary infrastructure and to participate in the financing. And now the project “Truck Grand Prix Video Live Streaming 2009“ is home and dry. The preparations are already in full swing. With the new digimago server technology – originally intended for a better balance of heavy server loads in the digital signage sector – a capacity can be reached that will enable twice as many users as last year to watch the races simultaneously on the monitor.
And the live streaming will not only be transmitted as a joint TGP special by Truck Grand Prix and truckracing.de, but can also be watched on the following websites:
Lutz Bernau Truck Sport – Germany (driver: Dominique Lachèze), Team Hahn Racing – Germany (driver: Jochen Hahn), Bird`s Motorsport – Great Britain (driver: Christopher Levett), Renault Trucks – Czech Republic (drivers: Markus Altenstrasser and Frankie Vojtisek), Truck Navarra Competición – Spain (driver: Javier Mariezcurrena), BJP Racing – Belgium (driver: Jean Pierre Blaise) and G-Truck France – France (drivers: Philippe Guyot and Pascal Robineau).
