Top Trio loses Points

26. September 2007In Misano there was already a rumour going, but there was nothing in written form or even official and only in regard to the two Buggyra pilots. Now there is an announcement of a Czech news agency - delivered by a member of the Buggyra team. Markus Bösiger and David Vrecky, as well as Antonio Albacete, whose appeal had not been heard until yesterday, are going to lose the points they gained in the Sunday Qualy race in Most. The text is available only in Czech language, but evidently there was nothing said about how the matter will be handled regarding those pilots who were behind the above mentioned, i.e., whether Körber, who was on fourth, will be declared the winner, and how the points will be allocated. It was only mentioned that Bösiger is now leading the overall standing with 374, followed by Albacete (343) and Vrsecky (304).
We will, however, proceed with our further calculations on the basis of the former ranking list, as long as there is neither an official FIA statement nor a decision about the allocation of the points. In the team ranking the Buggyra team will lose points, too, but Buggyra’s victory in this championship cannot be challenged anymore.
