Frankie not at the Start in Nogaro

13. June 2007On Wednesday before the race weekend in Albacete, Frankie Vojtisek was taken to the hospital in his home country, the Czech Republic. The doctors diagnosed thromboses in his liver region. This didn’t sound as if it could be cured within a few days. Yesterday Frankie could leave the hospital, and he is feeling quite well, considering the circumstances, but at the same time we learnt that his physician did not yet give him permission to do any races. And so the star of the Renault team is not going to enter the races in Nogaro / Southern France. Instead, Ross Garrett will be the pilot of the Renault truck with the number 10. After all, the event in Nogaro is a very special one for Renault, too, and they want the Frankie Truck Racing Team to participate with both their trucks. After the Nogaro race it’s only two weeks until the start of the season’s highlight, the Truck Grand Prix on the Nürburgring, but the team assumes that Frankie will be fit enough by that time to take action on the Ring.
