Strietzel Stuck driving Race Truck

Strietzel Stuck driving Race Truck

03. July 2006For the Truck Grand Prix at the “Ring” Egon Allgäuer, as always, had a surpise in store. While for the last two years Prince Leopold von Bayern was a guest driver in one of the yellow Race MAN’s, this year it will be another professional pilot with Bavarian roots: Hans-Joachim “Strietzel” Stuck.
As we know, Stuck is an excellent connoisseur of the Nürburgring, especially of the “Nordschleife”. He could almost drive on the track blindfold, after all, he won the 24 Hours Race three times. But he won’t have to drive so many kilometres during his assignment as a guest driver for the International Truck Masters Germany, because here the distances are only about 50 kilometres. Nevertheless, the Bavarian will take every opportunity to practise his driving skills on a truck, because many pilots who were successful on all different kinds of racing vehicles, got into trouble when driving a 5 tons race truck, until he got used to it.
So perhaps one or other of the Stuck fans will have a chance to sit next to Strietzel as a copilot when he is practicing on the race truck on Thursday, because the special offer of the ADAC is still on the market (available in combination with a weekend ticket of the category T4 Plus). More details can be found on the homepage of the Truck Grand Prix.
