Truckracing at the „ZDF Fernsehgarten”

26. June 2006For twenty years now the ZDF broadcasts the television show “Fernsehgarten”. Next Sunday, July 2nd, from 11:00 a.m. some of the protagonists of truck racing will come together at the two-hour live show. In the course of the preparations for the Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring on July 21 – 23, the ADAC Mittelrhein is going to demonstrate to the viewers the occurrences in a truck racing paddock; there will even be a mini race.
Apart from the pilot leading the overall standing of the European Truck Racing Championchip, Jochen Hahn, the “King of the Ring”, Heinz Werner Lenz, and Egon Allgäuer with his team will be there. And it would not be surprising, if, besides Markus Altenstrasser, who is the pilot of the Austrian’s team at present, Egon Allgäuer himself, the champion of the year 2002 and multiple times vice champion, would enter the cockpit to take the opportunity to demonstrate to millions of TV viewers how spectacular truck racing can be.
With the appearance on the show “ZDF Fernsehgarten” there will be a big chance to reach and to enthuse an audience who has never before heard of truck racing, let alone watched a race.
