Markus Bösiger to Start with Atkins-MAN

23. February 2006For a long time it was not sure whether the English-German-Swiss Bösiger Team would actually participate in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2006. Even though Markus Bösiger has not yet signed agreements with all of his sponsors, he confirmed that he would enter the first race with his multi-national team in Barcelona. The race truck, on which Bösiger made 5th position last year, is at the moment brought up to date by race engineer Stefan Honens. For the next weeks the first tests are planned. Furthermore, the Swiss entrepreneur and racing driver has bought the trailer from his compatriot Daniel Seiler, and they are now working on it to adjust it to their purposes.
After Gerd Körber could evidently convince his sponsors (at the end of this month he will sign an agreement with Buggyra), last year's top teams are reunited, although reduced from a septet to a sextet, because Egon Allgäuer wants to concentrate fully on his job as team leader.
As each of these pilots did win some races last year, we can look forward to watching very exciting and interesting races. A pike in the fish-pond could be Adam Lacko. After a 'Side trip' to the Touring Car World Championship last year, the young Czech is now back to Truckracing and with the Matejovsky team. The team bought a MAN TGA from Egon Allgäuer, a truck on which Lacko stirred up the other teams 2 years ago and won 3rd in the final.
