Sunday in Jarama - Norbert Kiss and André Kursim win, Sascha Lenz is third in the championship

01. October 2023Jarama - Norbert Kiss and André Kursim were the winners on this final race day of the ETRC season at Circuito del Jarama. Sascha Lenz secured his third place in the standings with a P3 and a P2.
Sunday’s first race saw Kiss lead away from pole to win by a mile, with Jochen Hahn and Lenz coming home next. The race was red-flagged on Lap 10 after the engine of Steffi Halm’s truck seized, dumping oil onto a stretch of the circuit.
Luis Recuenco led the field away at the start of the final race, followed closely by Kursim, Antonio Albacete, and Lenz. The surging Spaniard lost steam at mid-race, however, and compadre Albacete yielded to Lenz, allowing the German to cement his third-place ranking.
Kursim won the race ahead of Lenz and Kiss, who’d snatched P3 from Albacete in the very last corner.
