Sunday in Zolder - Norbert Kiss wins both races

10. September 2023Zolder - The heat was on in Zolder Sunday as Norbert Kiss continued where he’d left off the day before.
The unstoppable Hungarian took pole position in qualifying, ahead of Sascha Lenz and Jochen Hahn, and led his two rivals home in Race 1. Antonio Albacete, Jamie Anderson, José-Eduardo Rodrigues, André Kursim, Steffen Faas, John Newell, and Mark Taylor were the other finishers in the points. Luis Recuenco’s Iveco suddenly went up in flames, which resulted in a premature end to the race.
The second heat had the tankpool24 Scania of Steffen Faas on pole. The German led the field in the opening laps, even building out a comfortable cushion for himself out front. But at mid-race he suffered a failure that caused him to suddenly lose pace, and barely managed to crawl back into pit lane.
That left the way open for Kiss to take his second win of the day ahead of Hahn and Rodrigues.
They were followed across the line by Anderson, Albacete, Lenz, Steffi Halm, Kursim, Clemens Hecker, and Newell.
