Slovakia Ring preliminary report

29. June 2022Three weeks on from their hustling and hassling at the Hungaroring, it’s time for the truck racers to get back to business. The scene of action shifts 120 km northwest to the Slovakia Ring near Bratislava, which hosts Round 3 of the European Truck Racing Championship this weekend.
Some teams brought their equipment across to the Ring early, while others were hosted by friendly teams or partners in the neighbourhood.
The Slovakia Ring is one of the longest circuits on record in truck racing. Moreover, the sweeping curves are brutal on the tyres, so particular care is called for in this regard. Expected temperatures of above 30 degrees will make the job of the 14 competing pilots an even more extreme challenge.
Anthony Janiec will not be racing in Slovakia; instead, we will see the return of Spanish transport tycoon Luis Recuenco after a year’s absence.
