Sunday in Misano Part 1 - Kiss crushes it in the final qualifying session of the season

17. October 2021Misano - Warm-up today was scheduled for 9:30 am and the weather was ideal, the temperature at 16°C, the cool tarmac allowing the tyres to get up to their grippiest. Some of the pilots were tempted to test the limits early on and not wait for qualifying later.
With 2:01.424, Norbert Kiss clocked the quickest lap on Misano World Circuit this weekend, with Adam Lacko, Sascha Lenz, Jochen Hahn, Antonio Albacete, Téo Calvet, Anthony Janiec, Lukas Hahn, Steffen Faas, and Steffi Halm filling up the slots below him.
In qualifying an hour later, the top few returned to pit lane after one flying lap, while the up-and-comers chased down the clock till the dying seconds. Kiss, Lenz, J. Hahn, René Reinert, Halm, L. Hahn, Lacko, Albacete, Calvet, and Shane Brereton all made it into the Super Pole.
First out in the shootout, Kiss shaved two tenths off his earlier top time, beating Lenz and Hahn. The Hungarian then went even faster, breaking through the 2:01 barrier with a blistering 2:00.985. Lenz finished second-quickest, with Hahn, Lacko, Albacete, Lukas Hahn, Halm, Reinert, Calvet, and Brereton taking up the remaining positions on Rows 2 through 5 of the start grid.
