Saturday in Misano Part 2 - Sascha Lenz wins the race, Norbert Kiss the title

16. October 2021Misano - At the start of the first race, Sascha Lenz succeeded in outdragging polesitter Norbert Kiss, who tailed his MAN colleague around for the first three laps but found no opportunity to regain his position. Then on Lap 4, with the MAN of Jamie Anderson beached in a runoff zone just beyond the first chicane, the yellow flags were brought out on this section of the circuit. One lap later Kiss made his move on Lenz, but the impetuous manoeuvre didn’t go unnoticed – a few laps before the finish, the Hungarian was handed a five second penalty for overtaking in a yellow-flag zone. So though he crossed the line first, Kiss ended up second to Lenz in the classification.
Jochen Hahn had a relatively relaxed drive to P3, especially after close pursuer Antonio Albacete made an excursion into the barriers at mid-race.
The Iveco pilot was followed home by Steffi Halm, Adam Lacko, Anthony Janiec, René Reinert, Téo Calvet, Shane Brereton, and Lukas Hahn.
Calvet beat his Goodyear Cup rival Brereton and Lukas Hahn in that category.
„Die Bullen von Iveco“ was the top scorer among the teams, triumphing over Löwenpower and Team Titan.
