Sunday in Jarama Part 1 - Kiss takes pole in the rain, ahead of Albacete

03. October 2021Jarama - It was cloudy this morning at Circuito del Jarama, and the rain came down on the dot as the drivers went about their warm-up. Norbert Kiss was quickest out with 1:59.120, topping Sascha Lenz, Antonio Albacete, Jochen Hahn, and Jamie Anderson.
By 11:00, the start of qualifying, the rain had gotten heavier and the usual suspects didn’t come back into pit lane as they usually do but kept going to acclimatise themselves to conditions here nobody could quite remember last racing in.
Lenz recorded the top time, 2:08.697, above Kiss, Albacete, Adam Lacko, Hahn, Steffi Halm, Téo Calvet, Aliyyah Koloc, André Kursim, and José Rodrigues.
The Super Pole saw Lenz tumble to P5 as the four drivers below him marched up a place, Kiss taking pole position with a convincing 2:08.318 from Albacete, Lacko, and Hahn. Halm managed P6, ahead of Kursim, Calvet, Rodrigues, and Koloc.
