Sunday in Most Part 1 – Jochen Hahn on pole

29. August 2021Most - At 9:40 this morning, when the 17 trucks rolled out onto the track to warm up for the contests ahead, they were greeted by a delicate sunshine. The track was largely dry, allowing the teams to validate the changes they’d made to their setups overnight.
MAN-in-red Norbert Kiss’s 2:02.339 put him at the top of the heap, above Sascha Lenz and Jochen Hahn in the Iveco. The trio were quicker than in qualifying yesterday.
Everyone looked forward to Q2 with anticipation, naturally with one eye on the heavens. The clear skies, bright sunshine, and ambient temperature at 20°C all portended some great racing.
Kiss, Hahn, and Lenz had just one go and came back in to conserve their tyres. The rest of the pilots all had to stay out till the end, the differences in times too close for comfort. At the end it was Lacko, Calvet, Janiec, Reinert, Brereton, Halm, and Albacete who squeezed into the Top 10.
Hahn went on to crush the Super Pole with a 2:01.967, all of 0.17 seconds quicker than Kiss. Lenz, Lacko, Janiec, Calvet, Albacete, Brereton, Reinert, and Halm qualified on P3 through P10.
