Friday in Most - Norbert Kiss is tops in free practice

27. August 2021Most - After their teams spent all of Wednesday and Thursday at Autodrom Most setting up their tents, the truck racers were allowed out today onto the circuit in the west of the Czech Republic, not far from the German border, for their first free practice opportunity in 11 weeks.
The morning sky was overcast and there were a few scattered sprinklings of rain, the forecasts for the training sessions in the afternoon changing by the half-hour.
A steady drizzle marked the start of FP1, making for a rather slippery session. Norbert Kiss found the conditions rather to his liking, the Hungarian ace going on to set the top time, 2:17.671. Buggyra’s Adam Lacko (CZE) and German Sascha Lenz (MAN) were next-quickest.
By FP2 later in the afternoon the heavens had cleared considerably and the raceline was fully dry at the end of the 30 minutes. Kiss was quickest this time round too, with a 2:03.314 that was more than 14 seconds up on his performance in the wet a couple of hours earlier.
Sascha Lenz ended up second-fastest ahead of Lacko, Spaniard Antonio Albacete (MAN), and German champ Jochen Hahn (Iveco).
Rounding out the Top 10 were Steffi Halm, Anthony Janiec, Téo Calvet, René Reinert, and Shane Brereton.
