Truck Sport Bernau back with Antonio Albacete and Luis Recuenco

19. February 2018The FIA’s deadline for registrations for Season 2018 of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship is still 10 weeks away, but it’s already becoming clear which teams and drivers will definitely be at the season-opener in Misano on 25 May.
The latest announcement was by the sport’s patriarch Lutz Bernau – his TSB team will be back in the fray with Spaniard Antonio Albacete.
The Bernau-Albacete partnership is the longest-standing and most successful in the over three-decades-long history of European truck racing, having won three titles in MAN race trucks. This season the team is building an all-new truck to give to give their matador the best shot at the championship.
Albacete’s compatriot Luis Recuenco, whose motorsport résumé includes touring cars and rallying, will do a full-season campaign in another Bernau-backed machine.
