Hahn thrills Graz

April 2014Jochen Hahn, the reigning FIA European truck racing champion, represented his sport at the “Graz meets Spielberg” extravaganza hosted by Austria’s second-largest city last weekend to kick off the 2014 calendar of events at the Red Bull Ring not far away and herald the return of the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix. The 50,000 spectators who turned up were treated to show runs by race cars from the DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisters), NASCAR, the Formula Renault 3.5 series, and an assortment of other exotic cars. And as race trucks usually do at such events, Hahn’s 1,100PS Castrol MAN made a splash on the city-centre street track. He set the fans’ pulses racing with a thrilling display of what a race truck with 5,500 Nm can do.
