Friday in Albacete

06. June 2008Albacete - An almost cloudless sky, temperatures of more than 30 °C (86 °F) and a constantly blowing wind in the tableland of La Mancha, that’s just what is expected of Albacete. And, as always, Friday was not really eventful, for the truck racers there was only the acceptance test on the agenda. Several teams did some maintenance, but everybody took it easy. For many pilots the circuit in the centre of Spain is the one furthest from their hometown. Several pilots announced already beforehand that they would not participate, but now two of the registered pilots, Dominique Orsini and Jennifer Janiec, failed to appear as well. Nevertheless, because of the participants of the Spanish Championship that is included in the FIA races, there was a big number of entries. But the event a few people wished for but many others dreaded rather, did not take place today, the training for the show of the Spanish jet fighter pilots. But then, the weekend is not over yet.
