RaceTruck at the Essen Motor Show

05. December 2007People who want to see a race truck in ‘full panoply’ should go to the Motor Show in Essen. At the Mecca of the motor sport fans, Heinz-Werner Lenz’ Brasil Hauber is presented by Volker and Jürgen Fink on their KW-Systems exhibition stand. The Fink brothers develop and produce KW-units with a micro-controller, a device with which Diesel motor cars and mini vans can be equipped retroactively to optimize their performances. Having twenty years of experience, the brothers now want to use their immense know-how to bring about a small revolution for the big ones – the trucks – too.
However, of particular interest is not so much the increased performance – which no doubt will be achieved – but first and foremost the reduction of the fuel consumption. And in order to point out this scope expressively, the company based in Alsdorf, not far from Aix-la-Chapelle, searched for an eye-catcher for the Essen Motor Show.
This meant that a race truck would be the perfect answer, and they contacted truckracing.de / truckrace.info and got several phone numbers and email addresses, and eventually, the Fink brothers came across Heinz-Werner Lenz, and that is a very special, almost sentimental story, because they know each other from way back, when the Fink family lived in the Eifel, not far away from the Lenz domicile. Volker Fink and Heinz-Werner Lenz served in the German armed forces together. But after the Finks moved to their new home near Aix-la-Chapelle, they lost track of each other. All the more they enjoyed seeing each other again. As Heinz-Werner Lenz plans to return to the truck racing business next season, it would certainly be conceivable for him to continue his PR co-operation with KW-Systems.
