31. July 2007The Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring is not only the annual highlight, but also the half-time of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. Many people – including us – thought that now, when there are no longer any regular TV reports, at least we could provide some videos of the races on the internet – and that’s what was actually planned. However, the euphoria of the early stage was very soon dampened – the problems are bigger than expected. But the fans persist to request moving images. However, same as last year, we have to make do with the D:SF and the ADAC video of the Truck Grand Prix for the time being.
For several days now this video is available on this web site, and already thousands of people have discovered the video and watched it, although there was no special reference here up till now.
Actually, such reports were planned for all the races, because there is, in principal, video and film material available. A platform for video presentations could have been installed at short notice on this site. But then there were some other difficulties, for instance, there were no sufficient financial means available. But the planning for next year will continue.
Apropos, by the intermediary of the ADAC, truck racing will once more be one of the central themes of the TV show “ZDF Fernsehgarten” soon.
