FIA Victory and Awards Ceremony

18. October 2014Like in all previous years, the Victory and Awards Ceremony following the final race at Le Mans crowned the FIA European Truck Racing Championship’s 2014 season. This year too, the do was organised by the Truck Race Organisation and its president Fabien Calvet. The mood in the paddock had relaxed considerably as the weekend progressed, in sharp contrast not only to the tension that pervaded the paddock before the start of racing, but indeed to so many past truck racing weekends at Le Mans. The easygoing atmosphere extended to the closing ceremony, which had more than 300 guests. The individual teams and their drivers were each introduced in pictures before being handed their prizes on the stage.
There were in addition short videos of each of the Top 10 drivers, which were greeted with loud oohs and aahs from some sections of the crowd, and with mirth from others.
